Rainshadow Robotics, dba Quilting Technologies was formed in 2001 in Port Townsend, Washington. We make several products used in home and quilting businesses. We designed and we manufacturer the PC Quilter - see About PC Quilter. The products are made in the USA with USA labor. We do not export jobs. All but one of our major vendors are US companies. All the labor intensive parts are made in Port Townsend and Spokane and Kent, Washington - again, with USA labor. We are an unusual company. Our primary motivation is to provide a very high quality and reliable product at much less than is expected. Making gobs of money is secondary (but would be nice). Having virtually every customer being happy is our goal. We come close but are not perfect. We are also unusual in that we are careful to sell the products only to customers who will likely be successful. That means that if you place an order, we want to discuss your particular quilting situation, quilt frame, and sewing machine with you. And most importantly, how are your PC skills? The PC Quilter does require some minimal basic PC skills that almost every one has. Having a helper nearby who has those skills is OK too. But we want to check all that so we do not inadvertently create an unhappy customer because they did not understand the requirements of the product. We take great pride in what we do. We too are quilters (both Bev and Tim) and we are also consumers just like you and we treat customers the way we want to be treated. We achieve those goals almost every time we acquire a new customer. We have very good employees and wonderful customers - quilters are really nice people with few exceptions.
